Luca CignettiIn the Bachelor's degree programmes in pre-school education and Bachelor's degree programmes in primary education, the Area offers in particular the possibility of conducting a Bachelor's thesis on a topic related to the history of education.
In the Master's programme in Teaching for Secondary I level, the Area offers the course "Historical and educational system aspects", which proposes an interactive approach, in blended learning mode, to the very concept of the educational system and to some salient themes of the Ticino and Swiss educational system. In the Teaching Diploma for Upper Secondary Education, the Area curates the module "Ethics, evolution and institutional role of the upper secondary school (SMS) in the Ticino education system", which enables trainee teachers to approach the concept of the baccalaureate school, the place of the SMS in the Swiss education system and some salient aspects of the Swiss and Ticino education system through blended learning courses and others that alternate between numerous presentations by external experts and managers of the Ticino SMS.
