Quality Assurance Model
The Quality Assurance Model defines the structure and organisation of the Quality Assurance System.
Quality processes and handbooksSUPSI has identified 22 priority processes to guarantee the quality of its activities. The processes integrate all the main areas of the School: from strategy to institutional mandates, from governance and management processes to processes relating to resources and stakeholders.
Continuous improvementA continuous improvement cycle is applied to each of the processes, which ensures the smooth running of the School and guarantees the quality of the various actions. An external evaluation with external experts is also carried out periodically.
Quality assessmentSUPSI has equipped itself with tools to collect, monitor and share quality development measures, with the aim of continuously verifying their effectiveness and making the necessary adjustments. Particular attention is paid to the quality of institutional training, research and service provision mandates.
SUPSI undertakes to regularly communicate and make available information and documents to ensure adequate information, in compliance with the main laws on transparency. A specific Quality Assurance System Report is also planned every two years.
Communication and Transparency
ParticipationSUPSI employees work every day to ensure and develop the quality of the results produced and to achieve the defined strategic goals.
This dynamic of continuous improvement and innovation of activities considers the constant dialogue between SUPSI and its students, the business world, the scientific and artistic community and society as a whole.
Co-workers, students, alumni and external peers are thus regularly involved in the different practices of the Quality Assurance System, to contribute to the improvement of activities.
Priority tasks and responsibilitiesTo ensure adequate quality management, the tasks and responsibilities are consistent with the SUPSI organisation.
Tasks of a strategic nature are the responsibility of the SUPSI Council and the Councils of the affiliated Schools, while operational tasks are the responsibility of the SUPSI Management, as well as of the Departments' and Affiliated Schools' managements.
The Quality Coordination Commission, as a body established by the SUPSI Executive Board, is responsible for supervising and coordinating the implementation of the School's Quality Assurance System. Each Department and affiliated School also incorporates specific Quality Commissions for its own area of competence.
