Equal opportunities - Reconciliation
Promoting organisational wellbeing, harmonisation and reconciliation of study and/or work commitments with personal life, and enhancing the framework conditions for flexible study and work arrangements is part of SUPSI's social responsibility.
Our challenge: social responsibility and harnessing potential
Facilitating the reconciliation of personal life, study and/or work enables more people to study or work at SUPSI, enhancing their potential and bringing added value to the institution.
Measures taken in this area:
In order to ensure equity of access to studies, SUPSI, for some degree courses, offers the Part-time study modality that allows students to undertake or continue an education by facilitating the reconciliation of study with other personal or professional commitments.
In degree courses where part-time study is not foreseen, there is, however, a sensitivity to take into account the requests of people with family commitments, compatible with existing organisational possibilities.
For further information, please contact the Gender and Diversity Service or directly the head of the degree course in which you are interested.
SUPSI has Day Nursery with three crèche locations to facilitate the reconciliation of family, professional and/or study commitments of staff and the student body.
The SUPSInido premises (Manno and Locarno) and the USI SUPSInido premises (Lugano-Viganello) take in children aged between 4 months and 3-4 years, primarily children of SUPSI staff and student body.
The summer activity is proposed by the Gender and Diversity SUPSI Service in conjunction with USI's Equal Opportunities Service.
