Equal opportunities - Reconciliation
Promoting organisational wellbeing, harmonisation and reconciliation of study and/or work commitments with personal life, and enhancing the framework conditions for flexible study and work arrangements is part of SUPSI's social responsibility.
Equal career opportunities
As part of its personnel policy, SUPSI has introduced a number of measures to promote equal career opportunities. These include, for example, the integration of gender and diversity issues into key human resources (HR) processes, such as recruitment, induction and support, performance management and managerial development. At the same time, a system is being developed to monitor HR indicators from a gender and diversity perspective, with the aim of promoting and monitoring the achievement of greater gender balance, particularly in positions of responsibility.
Work-life balance
Promoting a balance between personal life, study and/or work enables more people to study or work at SUPSI, realising their potential and bringing added value to the institution. The main challenge SUPSI has set itself in the area of work-life balance is to find a common ground between the needs of each individual and those of the institution, so that this balance is seen by both parties as a worthwhile investment rather than a cost.Measures taken in this area:
Part-time study mode
In order to ensure equity of access to studies, SUPSI, for some degree courses, offers the Part-time study modality that allows students to undertake or continue an education by facilitating the reconciliation of study with other personal or professional commitments.
In degree courses where part-time study is not foreseen, there is, however, a sensitivity to take into account the requests of people with family commitments, compatible with existing organisational possibilities.
For further information, please contact the Gender and Diversity Service or directly the head of the degree course in which you are interested.

Summer extracurricular activities
- Junior Camp: the summer camp, aimed at the daughters and sons of staff between the ages of 4 and 11, offers a week of fun, creative, musical and sporting activities run by qualified teachers and staff. The summer activity is proposed by the Gender and Diversity SUPSI Service in conjunction with USI's Equal Opportunities Service.
